ABOUT JONATHAN
Experience changes the questions I ask.

I’m Jonathan T. Senger (JTS), founder of JTS Coaching.
I’ve spent more than 25 years in technology businesses, from founding three startups to executive leadership in publicly traded companies. My work has taken me across sales, consulting, operations, customer support, and organizational leadership. In one executive role, I led a team of about 150 people across North America.
That background doesn’t give me a ready answer to your situation. It gives me experience to draw on—and reasons to be curious before assuming I understand it.
Three startups. Three different outcomes.
The first failed. We raised approximately $700,000 but couldn’t establish a viable path to market and revenue.
The second broke even.
The third led to an acquisition of its customer base. I joined the acquiring publicly traded company to grow the business, and we expanded that account base twelvefold in less than three years.
Each taught me something different about responsibility, uncertainty, judgment, and the distance between a promising idea and a sustainable business.
I know something of the pressure that comes with having people count on you. I also know how difficult it can be to see your own situation clearly when you’re in the middle of it.
What I bring into the conversation
Since earning my coaching certification in 2018, I’ve completed more than 8,200 coaching hours and worked with more than 680 leaders and individual contributors, with clients across 10 countries.
I work with business professionals, from high-potential individual contributors to experienced executives.
Sometimes the work involves a decision, a relationship, or a specific leadership challenge. Sometimes it involves a broader question: what kind of leader do you want to become, and what needs to change for you to get there?
My training in behavioral therapy informs how I listen and explore patterns. Behavioral science, organizational psychology, and systems thinking also inform the questions I ask.
This is professional coaching, not therapy. I am not acting as your therapist or mental health provider.
What working with me feels like
I want us to be able to have a real conversation.
I’ll bring structure when it helps. I’ll ask questions, offer observations, and challenge assumptions. I’ll also expect you to question my interpretation when something doesn’t fit.
You don’t need to impress me or arrive with everything worked out. We need enough honesty to see what’s happening and enough room to consider a different approach.
Then we make it practical. You try something, see what happens, and bring that experience back into the conversation.
Professional training and continuing education
Certified Professional Coach (CPC), Lumia, 2018
My training included 60 hours of coach-specific education approved by the International Coaching Federation under its ACSTH designation.
My executive education includes programs through Berkeley, Duke, Yale, Wharton, MIT Sloan, IMD, and Chicago Booth, covering team performance, decision-making, customer-centric growth, operational excellence, analytics, and digital and AI transformation.
These studies broaden the perspectives I bring. Your situation determines which are useful.

A direct relationship, with broader capability when needed
When you work with JTS Coaching, you work directly with me.
For engagements that need additional expertise or capacity, I can draw on a professional network of more than 70 coaches, learning and development specialists, and fractional leaders.
We agree on the scope and who needs to be involved.
Let’s start with what’s going on.
Our complimentary conversation gives us a chance to understand your situation and see whether working together could be useful.
If we begin paid coaching, tailored questions and a written analysis help us look more closely. We review the observations together and agree on a useful focus.
The initial 30-minute conversation is free. Tailored questions, leadership analysis, and ongoing coaching are part of a paid engagement.
