YOUR ORGANIZATION
Execution stalls across priorities, decisions, or handoffs.
Everyone has a prescription. We start with the diagnosis.
When organizational performance falls short of expectations, the underlying causes aren’t always obvious. Through structured diagnostics, we examine how leadership, decision-making, organizational structures, and operating behaviors interact to identify systemic constraints, uncover root causes, and recommend targeted improvements.
The focus may be a line of business, a division, a cross-functional challenge, or the organization as a whole.
Does this sound familiar?
- A priority has executive support, but decisions and approvals keep delaying it.
- Teams are accountable for delivery without sufficient authority or resources.
- Cross-functional handoffs repeatedly create rework or confusion.
- Changes in direction make it difficult to sustain progress.
- Previous interventions have addressed the visible problem, yet the pattern returns.
Diagnosis Before Prescription
A reasonable solution can still fail if it addresses a symptom while leaving the underlying constraint intact.
We establish context, examine contributing factors, and identify what is limiting effectiveness before recommending where to intervene.
The inquiry is shaped around the organizational challenge. It is distinct from the reflective work of individual leadership coaching.
What an engagement could involve
A focused organizational diagnostic combining leadership interviews, evidence-based assessment, and analysis of how work actually gets done.
Findings distinguish visible symptoms from underlying constraints, providing leadership with a clearer understanding of what’s limiting performance, where intervention would have the greatest impact, and what to prioritize next.
Define the inquiry
We agree on the challenge, scope, stakeholders, evidence needed, and what a useful outcome would look like.
Examine the conditions
We investigate how decisions, structures, leadership behavior, and everyday operating practices interact around the problem.
Clarify the priorities
We review findings with leadership, examine competing interpretations, and recommend targeted improvements. Any subsequent support is scoped separately.
For larger engagements, I can draw on a professional network of more than 70 coaches, learning and development specialists, and fractional leaders. Relevant collaborators are brought into an agreed scope.
Start with the challenge—not a predetermined solution.
Bring one stalled priority, recurring constraint, or difficult handoff. You don’t need to have diagnosed it already.
Our first 30-minute conversation is free and carries no obligation. We’ll discuss the situation and whether a focused inquiry could be useful. Booking opens in OneCal.
Organizational diagnostics and advisory are paid engagements. We agree on scope, deliverables, timing, and fees before beginning.
